Tour Itinerary
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL CAIRO TO SAYIOUN
Meet and assist at Sayioun airport. Your tour guide will be holding the “Hellosocotra” sign at the arrival terminal right behind the passport control counter. At the terminal.
Once you have cleared immigration and collected your luggage, we will head east to local market to exchange money and buy local clothing, after that we will head to Al-Howta palace hotel.
Overnight: At Al-Howta Palace Hotel

DAY 2 – ISLAMIC CENTRE OF TARIM
After breakfas, we will explore Kathiri Sultan’s palace in the heart of Sayioun town then the local markets nearby, after that will drive for 40 mins to the town of Tarim, where the Sofi Islamic centre of Yemen located, explore the town, and it’s schools, visit Al-mehdar mosque, the tallest mud tower in the world.
After our Tarim visit, we will drive for 2 hours to see the shrine of prophet Hood then drive back to the hotel.

DAY 3 – SKYSCRAPERS OF SHIBAM HADRAMOUT
After an early breakfast, we will drive for 30 minutes to see the ancient town of Shibam, the gate of the Empty Quarter, and the world’s first skyscrapers. We will take a walk around the town, then head to an overview point on the hill nearby for photo shooting.
After Shibam, we will drive for 2 hours to most famous valley in the Arabian Peninsula, Wadi Doa’n, the place where the best honey comes from and the Iconic landmark of Bokshan palace.
Overnight: At Haid Al-Jizil Hotel

DAY 4 – WADI DO’AN
After breakfast, you will get to gear up, and we will do a lot of walking on this day, starting from the Doa’n wadi, to several villages nearby, including a visit to one of the most beautiful palaces in Yemen, the Bokshan palace, then walk around the village of the bin Landen family, bee farms and local markets. This day will be perfect for photo shooting and drone filming, especially during the sunset from the hill overview.

DAY 5 – AL-HOWTA VILLAGE
After breakfast, we will head slowly back to Al-howta palace hotel, we will make multiple stops along the way for photo shooting and engaging with locals. We will make another stop by Shibam and in the afternoon, we will take a tour around Al-Howta village. Great day if you wish to buy any local products or souvenirs

After breakfast, we will drop you off at the airport.

Guidance & Tips
What to bring?
Hiking shoes, hand-sanitiser, pain killers, anti-diarrheal medicine, headscarf, we will take you to the local market to buy local clothing.
Mobile & internet
Mobile roaming does not work in Yemen. We will provide you with a hotspot if needed; however, hotels and some areas have wi-fi connectivity.
Safety
The central part of Yemen has been safe, and we will do everything we can to make sure you are safe from day one until your last day.
ATM
Yemen does not have ATMs, so make sure you bring enough cash, US dollars new notes.
Travel insurance
Please ensure your travel insurance covers flight and tour cancellation due to weather conditions or political unrest.
Best time to visit
October to March is our winter, and April to August is our summer.
