Booking confirmation

To confirm your booking, we require a 50% down payment to cover the flight and visa costs. The remaining balance should be paid 45 days prior to arrival.

Medical conditions

You must tell us in advance if you have any medical conditions to take any necessary precautions.

Tour changes

Once the guest (s) are in Socotra, any change to the tour package, including changing the type of accommodation or the route of the tour, is not permitted.

Damages

It is your responsibility to look after your personal belongings. We are not liable for any damages that may happen to you or to your property, and you are 100% liable for any damages to our property or equipment caused by you. However, your safety is important to us, and it is our responsibility to keep you safe while enjoying our island.

Sexual harassments

We are a conservative community; sexual harassment in any kind and taking pictures of our women without their consent is against the law, please speak with your guide if unsure.

Snuggling

Exporting seeds, plants, animals, reptiles, or bugs organs is considered a smuggling act against the law. Please the list of do not do in Socotra here.

Hospitalisation

In the case of emergency or death, any charges may occur, including hospital treatment, and you or your next of kin will be liable for it.

Changing terms

We may add to or change these terms and conditions at any time, including by varying fees and charges or by introducing new ones at any time without prior notice.

Early tour cancellation

Tour cancellation for whatever reason, including changing of mind, seven days for a private tour and ten days for a group tour before arrival, a full refund will be offered minus bank, currency conversion and international transfer fees.

If the flight was cancelled for whatever reason tour T&C applies.

Late tour cancellation

Tour cancellation for whatever reason, including changing of mind, for private and group tours within seven days of arrival are nonrefundable; however, tour date changes are eligible at no extra cost.

If cancellation two days prior to arrival are nonrefundable; however, in a situation beyond the guest’s control, you may be eligible for a refund, but it is subject to management approval.

Early tour cancellation

Any cancellation or change of date after the flight ticket is issued, a $400 fee applies, and the remaining balance will be held as a credit with the charter flight company to be used within a year for the same passenger.

Late tour cancellation

Any cancellation or change of date eight days prior to departure is not refundable, and no show is nonrefundable for any reason.

Flight cancellation

In case of cancellation from the airlines due to any circumstances like bad weather, alternate option or changes can be provided or refund will be provided as credit which can be used within 1 year of the travel date. please see the flight ticket for the full T&Cs.

Hotel

Hotels or guesthouse bookings are nonrefundable.

Service standard

We have no control over the hotel or guesthouse cleanness, furnisher, or electronic conditions, we thank you for your understanding.

Visa fee

Visa fees are nonrefundable.

Working

Not permitted to do any paid or unpaid work on a tourist visa.

Research

No journalism, interviews, or research work can be conducted on a tourist visa; you will need a special permit, ask us how.

Yemen mainland

You are not permitted to go to the mainland of Yemen using an issued tourist visa from Socotra.
