Big things are happening for travellers bound for what has been dubbed as we begin our journey into the 2026 season. Your trip to Socotra Island has never been more accessible than now. This is because of a significant change in flight operations that promises to make your journey as smooth as ever.
At Hello Socotra, our commitment is to keep you informed and ensure that your journey remains as seamless as ever. This holds true despite these significant logistical changes. Below is everything you need to know about the new flight schedule. Also, learn how we have optimized our tours for you.
The New Flight Schedule: Jeddah is Your Gateway
The old flight route via Abu Dhabi has been replaced by direct flights from Jeddah International Airport (JED). The flights are operated by Yemen Airways (Yemenia). This new schedule is set to be a game-changer for travellers bound for the archipelago.
The Current Weekly Schedule:
- Departing from Jeddah Every: Tuesday * Returning from Socotra Every: Monday (Socotra flights schedule)
Although this is technically one day less than the previous seven-night schedule, this is a much more streamlined travel experience. We’re keeping an eye on the flight schedule with Yemen Airways. As a result, we’re sure more flights will be added to the schedule soon.

Adjusted Itineraries: More Adventure, Less Filler
You might be wondering: “If the trip is one day shorter, will I miss out on the best spots?” The answer is a resounding no. Our team at Hello Socotra has carefully redesigned our tour itineraries to fit the new flight schedule. We’ve cut the travel “dead time” and optimised our routes. This is done to ensure that you can still enjoy all the famous spots, including:
- The Dragon’s Blood Forests of Diksam and Firmihin.
- The Infinity Pools of Homhil with their stunning vistas.
- The Crystal Waters of Detwah Lagoon and Shoab Beach.
- The Massive Sand Dunes of Arher and the depths of Hoq Cave.
We have, in effect, squeezed the “standard” one-week “experience” into a high-impact, 6-day adventure. You’ll see all the landmarks you’ve always dreamed of… just at a slightly more efficient pace.

Commitment to Sustainable Travel
As we make this transition, our commitment remains the same: sustainable, eco-friendly tourism that protects Socotra’s delicate ecosystem. Your visit remains a force for good. It supports the local community, employs Socotri guides, and enables conservation initiatives like our recent beach clean-ups in Hadibo.
